Job Description

The role of a Viz Designer is to create innovative VizRT Design, Operation and Template Creation/Management in coordination with branding and on-air graphics content as well as Augmented Reality scenes and animations for Sky News Arabia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and develop 3D, Real-Time animations, templates and scenes on VizRT's platforms, by working closely with the Senior Designers and the Head of Creative.
  • Create and develop VizRT animations for studio shows featuring news, sports, business, weather and special events.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team required.
  • Excellent skills in task and time management and prioritization required.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and establish processes required.
  • Good knowledge of broadcast technology.
Key Skills, Experience and Educational
  • Bachelor degree in computer science or similar relevant experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a large national or international broadcast news channel.
  • Proven professional track record with 3+ years knowledge of general practices and procedures of VizRT and on-air graphics.
  • Expert in: Viz World.
  • Excellent skills in the Augmented reality technology.
  • Proficient in: Template Wizard, Transition Logic and Trio. Thorough knowledge of VizRT internal commands and scripting is preferred.
  • Must have strong technical and troubleshooting skills in VizRT Suite.
  • Excellent software and hardware skills in relevant field: Viz Chyron, iNews, Adode suite.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Strong artistic sense. Works well under pressure, Team player, Creative, Problem
    solving skills.
