Job Description

The Motion Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and promoting a successful brand, which demonstrates in-depth knowledge and experience in all areas of branding and graphic design, including but not limited to; brand identity development, line assets, and collateral designs, digital branding, digital presentation design, formatting, visualizing content, 2D sketching, and story boarding.

The Motion graphic designer must be an Arabic-speaking candidate to join our team to help to come up with new ideas, push the boundaries of creativity whilst ensuring the day-to-day design deliverables are met within the quality and timeframe required and while meeting SNA Editorial guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Working closely with other designers to resource the digital Design output for Sky News Arabia.
• Ensuring the highest standards of quality for the channel's and digital platforms' content and style are met.
• Communicating effectively with all other output areas.
• Possessing the ability to work with different camera systems (for example: Canon DSLR, or Sony mirror less Cameras) and with different camera equipment (Gimbal, Action cameras).
• Demonstrating excellent video/audio editing skills for different social media content and documentaries.
• Understanding of work with different lighting setups ( outdoor and indoor ) and to create concepts for video shoots in different genres ( Sports, Politics, Entertainment, Education )
• Creating stories from scratch, including scriptwriting skills, and effectively handling photography retouching.
• Ability to direct live shows for digital platforms. 
• Strong understanding for delivering content in different Social Media aspect ratios like (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat).
• Demonstrating excellent project and time management skills to be able to work simultaneously on different projects at the same time.
• Processing good Motion Graphics skills to be able to finalize projects ( Animation, Chroma Keying, Composting ).
• Must be available to handle event coverage and deployments locally or/and internationally.

Key Skills, Experience and Educational

• Experience in design in a digital broadcast environment.
• High level of creativity and conceptual design.
• Excellent level of skill within the field of Design, Digital output.
• Previous experience in a large national or international broadcast news channel and production houses.
• Good knowledge of digital broadcast technology.
• Must be an expert user of Adobe Premiere (Video editing, audio editing, Colour correction and grading, audio mixing).
• Must be a proficient user of Adobe after Effects (Title Animation, 2D Animation, Chroma Keying, and Composting).
• Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at this level.
• BA in a relevant creative field.
