Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Tester you will be a disciplined professional who displays both technical aptitude and business acumen. You will work in a dedicated, self-organised product stream, collaborating with the Product Owner and developers to ensure the vision of the Product Sponsor is fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and write acceptance criteria for each user story.
• Collaborate with developers to perform exploratory testing of user stories as they are being developed.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure that completed user stories satisfy all the acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers notifying them of defects discovered.
• Collaborate with developers to set-up and maintain suitable test data.
• Design, develop and coordinate the test plans for regression testing, thereby ensuring all functional tests are automated via the Selenium tool.
• Manage and operate a QA environment including, builds and deployment.
• Work as part of the team to support and maintain the live product.
• Work as part of an effective self-organizing, cross-functional and disciplined team to achieve repeatable success. Recognize that team success is more important than individual success.
• Work in the team to achieve consensus agreement and binding decisions.
• Demonstrate ownership and responsibility by making committing to the team about what you will achieve and communicate honestly about what has been achieved. Make any obstacles visible.

Key Skills, Experience and Education

• Scrum, Extreme Programming or another agile approach.
• User-centric approaches.
• Must have experience in testing native mobile app on various platforms.
• Test automation using tools such as Selenium webdriver, FIT (or FitNesse).
• Regression testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, cross browser compatibility testing.
• PostgreSQL.
• Subversion.
• Atlassian Jira.
• Understanding of bug tracking tools.
• Non-functional testing, such as performance and security.
• Arabic Speaker.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a quality assurance tester.

Optional Skills:

• VMWare.
• Continuous Integration tools such as Hudson; Jenkins.
