Job Description
The Picture Editor will edit high quality broadcast packages.  You will be expected to work with Producers and Studio Directors in a collaborative fashion to produce the best possible broadcast product. You will demonstrate a highly developed knowledge of sequence composition, post production techniques and incorporation of graphic elements. You will be required to work in a shift pattern to service the requirements of a 24-hour news organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Skilful editing of TV Programs, News and documentaries.
  • Ensure highest technical standards for video material for broadcast.
  • Work in collaborative way with Producers, Studio Directors, and Journalists to achieve best results.
  • You will be expected to work on location and may travel as required by the higher admin.
  • Ensure that material for broadcast meets Sky News Arabia's editorial guidelines for images, taste and decency.
Key Skills, Experience and Education
  • BA in media related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in picture editing.
  • Good in spoken and written Arabic and English.
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing techniques and software.
  • Wide experience in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and familiar with After Effect software.
  • Knowledge in working with 4K and HD formats.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and longer-form projects when required.
  • Edit Graphics in packages.
  • Ability to film is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team and under pressure.
