Job Description

 

Reporting to Head of Data and Insights the Data Analyst role will be a key contributor to the social media strategy and growth for Sky News Arabia 24-hour News Channel working daily with the editorial online/social teams to empower, inform and grow the digital business, as well as working with digital product and commercial teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design, track and launch digital research projects aimed towards future digital growth of each social media platform including our own assets.
  • Able to build predictive models that provide the business with best ROI.    
  • Monitor, analyze and track the performance of all social media platforms including our owned assets.

  • Analyze, investigate and determine what are the key drivers behind digital growth/slumps.

  • Evaluate, investigate and optimize digital marketing campaigns based on campaign objectives.

  • Suggest, inform and brief the business on content performance in order to drive future growth and influence future production of digital content.

  • Work closely with Sky News Arabia digital teams, software development and digital partners to deliver on annual social media KPIs.

  •  Able to educate, teach and inform teams about the importance, value and power of data.
  • Manage all digital media monthly/weekly/daily reporting.
Key Skills, Experience and Education

  

  • Minimum 5-7 years digital research and data experience. MENA experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytics, research and understanding in data.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge in tableau, adobe and google analytics.
  • Predictive modeling capability.
  • Ability to determine and establish data driven trends in order to make proper recommendations.
  • Fluent Arabic and English Speaker, educated to degree level.
  • Possess strong communication skills and an ability to articulate strategy right through to delivery of initiatives.
  • A team player with a deep understanding of editorial and commercial imperatives.
  • Ability to manage key relationships internally & externally.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Be performance and results orientated and have an ability to influence multiple stakeholders across all levels.  
  • Be a strategic thinker with a desire to create and implement new initiatives.
  • Digital product knowledge would be a plus.
