Job Description:

Sky News Arabia Academy aims to improve the skills of future media professionals, by providing distinguished training programs offered by a group of the brightest media professionals and broadcasters in the Arab world.

A dynamic, creative and out-of-the-box thinker, detail-oriented and sales-focused Business Development Officer who would deliver against sales targets and manage the relationship with SNA Academy clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Development Officer role is based on achieving sales targets and this will require the candidate to be in charge of the following: 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects with focus on Universities and Corporate Institutions, locally and globally.
  • Propose new initiatives to acquire business from new clients in order to expand the Academy’s reach locally and globally.
  • Deliver on the sales target set by the Head of SNA Academy to achieve revenue from universities, corporate sector, as well public and online courses offerings.
  • In charge for proposal drafting including preparation of training services plan offered to the client.
  • In charge of preparing contracts in liaison with the Legal department and the Finance team.
  • Maintain accurate database for SNA Academy’s existing clients, and conduct research on potential clients and sales leads.
  • Assist with the departmental budget forecast and monitor against actuals.
  • Work with the Finance Department to ensure that all invoices are settled by the clients in due course.
  • Liaise with Editorial team to finalize the training content, trainers’ schedule, training materials etc.
  • Provide clients with relevant marketing materials such as brochures, training promos, training booklets, etc.
Key Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Business Administration or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in similar role.
  • Academic or Media background is highly desirable.
  • Sales targets responsibility and motivated to deliver as per set deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of MS Office and PPT presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (both writing and speaking).
