Job Description: The Camera Operator works with remote controlling studio cameras in multi and single camera operational conditions, also operating the camera manually on a pedestal or handheld, producing pictures for Studio Directors by combining the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. You will have experience on camera robotic tripods and heads, and be fast in delivering the shots needed by the Studio Director in a creative way as well as operating the studio's special gears/equipment like Jimmy Jib or the Steadicam. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cameras in a variety of configurations under direction on recorded and live programming.
• Work quickly and accurately to the instructions of the Studio Director.
• Ensure the match of various operating cameras in a studio to the same color and light balance.
• Carry out routine maintenance and first‐line fault finding as necessary.
• Interact and maintain good working relationships with other members of the production team.
• You will be required to work in a shift pattern to service the requirements of a 24 hour news organization.
• Prepare the camera and filming equipment ahead of time and follow accurate standards and terminology.

Key Skills, Experience and Education:

• BA in media related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating cameras in a live studio environment.
• Experience of operating cameras for a 24 hour rolling news channel an advantage.
• Good written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Excellent technical abilities.
• Excellent hand‐eye co‐ordination, hearing and color vision.
• Ability to remain focused at all times.
• Innovative, creative and observant.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of the camera tracking system for virtual and augmented reality studios.
• Accurate in troubleshooting the common camera operation issues.
