Job Description:

Sky News Arabia (SNA) Academy is an educational institution that aims to improve the skills of future media professionals, by providing distinguished training programs offered by a group of the brightest media professionals and broadcasters in the Arab world.

The Senior Business Development Officer will be dedicated to upholding an effective sales and business development strategy at SNA Academy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting training revenue streams as well as building/retaining solid business relationships with new and existing clients in its three forms, public, corporate, and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Establish business relationships with prospective clients and continuously work on retaining relationship with existing clients.
  • Promote the Academy products/services and increase visibility of the academy through innovative channels.
  • Prepare training contracts ensuring adherence to standard policies and procedures in liaison with the Legal department and the Finance team.
  • Maintain updated records of the Academy’s KPIs and revenue.
  • Assist the Head of SNA Academy with the Academy’s monthly budget forecast and monitor against actuals.                        
  • Analyse client satisfaction surveys and translate results into qualitative and quantitative reports to the Senior Management.
  • Manage the Junior Business Development Officer (s).
Key Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Business Administration or other relevant field.
  • 5 + years of proven sales and/or Business Development experience.
  • Academic or Media background is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (both writing and speaking).
