Job Description: The Technical Operator is responsible of providing support to the Gallery (Control Room), working closely with all teams in the NOC (News Operations Centre) and the Gallery to ensure proper delivery of quality broadcasting. Key Responsibilities:

• As the Control Room Technician, you will undertake the following tasks: setting up studio sets, providing lighting support, operating robotic cameras, oversea live signal bookings by quality controlling and delivering to Gallery, adjust the CCU and make camera colour matching, monitoring, maintaining and controlling the outgoing signal and computer programme.
• Oversea the VR and AR operations by providing support and making sure that sets are ready to go on-air in best condition.
• Offer know‐how on the proper use of lighting and rigging equipment in outside coverages.
• Ensure that studio technical equipment is clean, safe and in proper shape for use.

• Maintain close contact with Studio Directors and keeping them informed about any changes in the Gallery while on-air.
• Ability to work on different shifts within a 24 hours rota.

Key Skills, Experience and Education:

• BA in related media field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a large channel.
• Good in written and spoken English, Arabic is a bonus.
• In depth understanding of television production techniques.
• A thorough understanding of the whole news production process, from gathering, editing, graphics, scriptwriting to output and transmission.
• A strong knowledge of studio equipment.
• Ability to remain cool, calm and collected at all times and keeping the Gallery as calm as possible even under real pressure.
• A flair for making innovative, continuous television news.
• Excellent communication skills.
