Job Description:

The Marketing & Communications Executive is an experienced Arabic speaking professional who can handle the marketing operations, execute the PR plans and support the Marcomms team in the department’s day to day tasks, and oversees the delivery of effective plans across both Marketing and Communications for Sky News Arabia and all its products.

The candidate can execute the set plans, prepare the required marketing materials and assets,

Execute the PR plans in coordination with agencies and internal parties. Will have knowledge of the media landscape in the MENA region. Should have a proven track record in delivering results. The role requires someone with experience working in the media or with an agency.

The role covers marketing campaigns, external communications, and events management, and execution of brand activations.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Operations:

  • Conceive and execute the marketing plans of Sky News Arabia.
  • Assist in managing the integrated marketing campaigns across offline, online, and PR tactics.
  • Liaise with other internal teams (e.g. Editorial, Creative, and Production) to develop and monitor all marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the creation of creative content.
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as product collateral and branded merchandise items, and ensure brand guidelines are met.
  • Follow up, and arrange required material for the execution of the planned digital campaigns.
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing activities.
  • Deliver a result-oriented approach. Constantly evaluating the results received.

Communications:

  • Gather and prepare content for PRLs drafting and PR content requirements. 
  • Proofread, and liaise internally for the finalization and approval of the PRLs.
  • Liaise with the PR Agency for PR material preparation and distribution of the PRLs.
  • Identify opportunities to develop media relationships.
  • Integrate with the marketing campaign activities to maximize the impact of all offline and online communications.
  • Coordinate with the Editorial Team for Content details to ensure alignment and utilize owned and social media channels to deliver key PR messages.
  • Benchmark, our communications against our competitors.

Events & Activations:

  • Handle, coordinate and oversee all event operations.
  • Attend and manage all the brand activations.
  • Liaise with the different event partners.
  • Provide recommendations for future event partnerships & strategic initiatives.
  • Handle SNA’s submissions process for the different relative festivals and awards.
Key Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably with a media company or an agency. MENA regional experience is a preference as well.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent in written Arabic preferred.
  • Proven track record in marketing and PR operations.
  • Passionate about new marketing trends, always on top of best industry practices, great in the proper execution of plans and projects, and have an eye for detail.
  • A team player with understanding of editorial and production imperatives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all communication channels and the media landscape in the region including all social media platforms and their users.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to perform under pressure to tight deadlines.
