The Chief Sub Video is an integral part of Sky News Arabia's output team. One of our strengths will be our focus on pictures, and this is at the heart of the chief sub video role. Working closely with Executive Producers, output teams and the Sky News Arabia website, you will ensure all parts of the operation are delivered the very best and most suitable video - spotting key pictures early and ensuring they are quickly turned around for use on air.

The role requires an experienced television journalist with a good eye for pictures, a focus on speed and accuracy and an ease with newsroom production technology.

• Delivering the best and most suitable video to all parts of the Sky News Arabia output team - television and online.
• Spotting good picture and ensuring it is turned around quickly so that Sky News Arabia's video operation is market-leading.
• Acting as a champion of newsroom production technology and desktop editing
• Ensuring Sky News Arabia's editorial guidelines and values are adhered to.
• Working with Executive Producers and the tv and online teams, as well as the newsgathering operation, to cultivate a collaborative approach to our journalism across Sky News Arabia.

• Experience in television news, including television news production
• An excellent journalist with strong editorial judgment and an eye for good picture
• Previous experience in a national or international broadcast news channel.
• Experience of newsroom production systems and desktop editing
• Evidence of a broad range of journalistic interests including social affairs, international politics, public policy, world business and economic affairs, Sciences and the Arts
• Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English
• Minimum of 5 years experience required.
• BA in journalism or other related social science major a plus.
