Job Description: The Floor Manager is the link between the Studio Director and the studio floor, acting as their eyes and ears. You will look after the presenters' requirements, from scripts to moving monitors and sometimes camera peds. Also, you will be responsible for the safety of everyone working or performing in the studio. Accurate and punctual in time management before and while On-Air with applying the broadcast studio terminology and standards. You will be required to work in a shift pattern to service the requirements of a 24 hour news organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Receive instructions from the Studio Director and act accordingly.
• Look ahead in the program schedule to anticipate any changes needed to the Studio set or for the presenters.
• Print scripts for the presenters and looking after their requirements.
• Ensure the safety of all those who work or visit the studio floor.
• Liaise with the production team about program requirements, including the studio guests, make-up, and any other requirement.
• Assist studio guests; explaining safety requirements, show timings, and all that happens during the broadcast or recorded shows.
• Ensure that floor plans and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Make sure that all the studio equipment, lighting, set, decorations and cameras are ready ahead of time.

Key Skills, Experience and Education:

• BA in media related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a live television studio environment.
• Good knowledge of both written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Proven experience of responding on air to changing events and priorities.
• Good understanding of television production techniques.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to take correct decisions within a pressurized work environment.
• Good planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Trained about first aid, firefighting, health and safety.
