Job Description: Network Operations Centre is the technical hub of all the broadcast operations, where the signals from both audio and video pass through prior to transmission.  The NOC Engineer works within the MCR on equipment which might typically include video monitors, satellite receivers, bonding units and transmission equipment.  Candidate will be required to check the quality of content, ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and respond to any technical issues from other areas of the operation. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Live Bookings to be ready to go on-air.
• Conduct quality check for all incoming materials.
• Troubleshoot the operation problems and find alternative solutions to secure channel output.  
• Maintain and modify equipment to ensure that it is safe to go on-air, reliable and efficient.
• Coordinate with satellite earth station, monitor and manage the satellite slots to use them in bookings by right way.
• Prepare backup line for distribution fibre outage.
• Control the streaming devices.
• Provide the requested off airs channels to editorial team in short time.
• Ready to cover the shortage in other departments during the absence time.
• Write technical reports and keep up to date with developments in technology and regulations.

 

 

Key Skills, Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering or similar relevant degree.
• 3-5 years’ experience in MCR and SNG Field preferred.
• Experience in computer equipment, and basic network operations in a fast paced environment.
• Fluency in Arabic + Good in English (speaking & writing).
• IT Networking capabilities.
• Advanced operation knowledge in MPLS, SDWAN, routing/switching.
• Emphasis on Video and Audio signal analysis.
• Fully operation and technical knowledge for one of the streaming system with experience (Dejero, Live U, ZAOS, TVU).
• Experience with MPLS Network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Good experience with Satellite uplink/downlink system.
• Good knowledge in booking centre software program (ScheduALL).
• Experience in video router operations.
• Good knowledge EVS tools (IPD & clean edit).
• Good experience in Video (HD, SD,4K, etc) and Audio tech.
• Video processor function.
• Know how to use wave form and spectrum analyser.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a teamwork environment.
• Problem solving and decision making skills.
• Interpersonal skills, creativity, analytical thinker.
• Very good communication skills.
• Flexibility and multi-tasking skills.
