Job Description
Key Responsibilities
-
Work closely with the various departments to ensure procurement requests are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
-
Maintain and update supplier information on a regular basis to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
-
Maintain, update and administer procurement files on electronic and hard copy and ensure documents are readily available during any audit.
-
Issue Requests for Quotation to suppliers on behalf of the business users and follow up with suppliers to ensure responses are received without delay.

Be the main point of contact for initial supplier queries and clarifications.

Review proposals submitted by suppliers to ensure documentation received is complete and relevant.

Prepare commercial comparatives and analysis sheets and share with senior procurement officer for further analysis

Assist procurement officer with supplier negotiations in order to achieve the best price for the required products/services.

Assist business users in raising PR requests and ensure suppliers receive the relevant purchase orders in a timely manner.
-
Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery timelines are met.
-
Maintain a tracker for all procurement requests and update business users on the status regularly.
-
Manage and maintain the open purchase orders on the ERP system and ensure the receiving of goods/services is done regularly by the business users.
-
Follow up with suppliers to ensure invoices are received on time and deal with any billing discrepancies.

Provide regular and ad hoc reports on procurement expenditure on a monthly basis to the senior procurement officer.

Assist the finance team with ad hoc duties and reports.
Key Skills, Experience and Education
-
Minimum 5 years' experience as procurement officer in a large organization.
-
Relevant procurement qualification or Bachelor degree in any related discipline.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Organised, efficient and pro-active.
-
Results driven and self-motivated.
-
Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
-
PC skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced excel skills.
-
Excellent written and spoken English.
-
Previous finance work experience and knowledge of SAP procurement system are highly desirable.
-
Arabic speaking candidates with media sector experience will be given preference.
