Under the guidance of the Chief Digital Products Officer The Digital Products Manager will be a key contributor to the digital product transformation for Sky News Arabia 24 hour News Channel working closely with the Digital Editor, Online Editor and Social Media Editor.

Person

• Create, analyze, launch and optimize digital product projects working closely with the data, optimization, digital, online, social and software development teams.

   

• Work closely with the software development team UI/UX, front and back end teams to deliver an engaging content consumer experience across all Sky News Arabia owned assets including connected devices and aggregation platforms.

   

• Provide the optimal work flows and returns for content being re purposed from TV / Audio or digital firsts onto owned assets.

   

• Manage relations with distribution and product partners with clear objective of maintaining best practice, driving traffic and user engagement across Sky News Arabia owned assets.

   

• Manage the digital solutions, tools and processes required to drive growth across Sky News Arabia’s owned assets including connected devices.

   

• Manage the digital product development side working with the software development team for all Sky News Arabia digital assets.
• Working closely with Sky News Arabia digital teams, software development and digital partners to deliver on annual KPIs across all owned assets.

Experience

Key Skills, Experience & Education

• Minimum 10 years Digital Product experience. MENA experience is a pre-requisite.
• Fluent Arabic and English Speaker, educated to degree level.
• Possess strong communication skills and an ability to articulate strategy right through to delivery of initiatives
• A team player with a deep understanding of editorial and commercial imperatives.
• Demonstrated experience and confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.
• Ability to manage key relationships internally & externally, building and leveraging relevant, successful partnerships
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Identify opportunities with partners who will drive Sky News Arabia’s beyond its intended targets, creating product synergies and efficiencies across the business.
• Possess strong people management skills with the ability to lead others.
• Be performance and results orientated and have an ability to influence multiple stakeholders across all levels   
• Be a strategic thinker with a desire to create and implement new initiatives  
• Be a thought leader at industry events and conferences, representing Sky News Arabia’s values accordingly.
• Be a Positive, Passionate and enthusiastic leader driving the company’s digital product optimization and transformation.
